Mentoring

Dear Confirmation Candidates and families,

As part of the Confirmation Programme, the Candidates have the opportunity to meet on three occasions during the preparation time for Confirmation on a one to one basis with an allocated Mentor.

The objective of the mentors is to run three sessions alongside the RUAH programme during which they focus on listening and offer guidance to each candidate going through their spiritual journey in preparation for Confirmation.

We hope to run three one to one – 15-minute sessions with each candidate at St Joseph in the Church. During these sessions, the candidates can talk about their experience and how they are progressing with their preparation for Confirmation; they have the opportunity to ask for any guidance or advice as they feel necessary.

The mentors will offer some thinking material based on the word ‘HABITS’ by looking at the meaning of each letter individually for the candidates to explore in their own time and under no pressure.

We have five mentors in our group, Gerald Guma, Alberto Cacace, Sophia Rumpus, Iwona Hastings and Maria Chapman.

The Mentoring sessions will take place at St Joseph’s Church from 18:30 on the following dates:

Thursday October 19th, Thursday January 11th and Thursday May 23rd.
